State of Harmony

Client Safety Precautions.

At State of Harmony, your safety is our top priority. Please adhere to the following summarised safety guidelines:

1. Proper Attire

  • Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing to allow full range of motion and avoid entanglement with equipment. Grip socks are highly recommended for stability and hygiene.

2. Arrival and Preparation

  • Arrive 10 mins early and store personal items safely in designated areas to keep the studio clutter-free.

3. Equipment Safety

  • Inspect equipment before use and report any visible issues (e.g., loose straps or springs) to your instructor.

  • Use all equipment as demonstrated by the instructor; avoid abrupt movements that may cause instability. Only adjust or modify equipment with the instructor approval.

  • Wipe down mats and equipment after use with provided cleaning supplies.

  • Have an instructor assist or spot with advanced or unfamiliar exercises.

5. Reformer-Specific Safety Guidelines

  • Spring Settings: Confirm spring tension with your instructor before starting. Adjust springs only under guidance.

  • Foot Placement: Place feet securely on the footbar, platform, or carriage, and use grip socks or grippy mats to prevent slipping.

  • Carriage Control: Move the carriage smoothly and avoid slamming it into the stopper.

  • Mounting and Dismounting: Always use a stable point like the platform and avoid stepping on the moving carriage, ensuring the springs are on first. Keep the footbar down and use grippy mats for safety.

  • Box: When the box is on the carriage of the reformer, make sure the weight is centred and evenly distributed on the carriage.

6. Wunda Chair-Specific Safety Guidelines

  • Pedal Use: Confirm spring tension before starting, and press pedals smoothly to maintain control, specially on the way back.

  • Hand and Foot Placement: Follow instructor guidance for precise placement to avoid instability.

  • Balance and Stability: Engage your core during exercises and use the height adjustable supports if needed for single-leg or arm work.

By following these guidelines, you help create a safe and harmonious environment for everyone at State of Harmony. Thank you for your cooperation!
