Set of Agreements.
Creating a Safe and Supportive Space for Sharing and Communication
Members are always welcome to share but are never obligated to do so.
Only one member speaking at a time, minimizing interruptions.
Allow a pause between shares. Slowing down fosters awareness and presence.
Avoid offering advice, even when it comes from a caring place. This allows members to come to their own resolutions and insights, which can be deeply satisfying.
Honor confidentiality to maintain a safe and respectful space. What happens in the group stays in the group.
Approach all members and their shares with a mindset of acceptance and curiosity, avoiding judgment or critique.
Embrace moments of silence. Silence is part of the practice and an opportunity for deeper reflection.
If you’ve already spoken, allow others the opportunity to share before speaking again.
Practice self-focus. Speak from your own experiences and feelings. Avoid assuming or speaking on behalf of others.
Listen deeply to others, noticing your inner responses as you listen and as you speak.
Respect each member’s emotions and experiences, allowing space for all feelings that may arise.
If strong emotions arise, feel free to take any self-care measures needed.
Be mindful of time while sharing to ensure equal opportunities for others. Facilitators may gently guide the group to keep time balanced.
Respectful Use of Technology
Keep microphones on mute unless you are speaking or participating in an open dialogue to minimize background noise.
Ensure your camera is on to promote presence and engagement.
Refrain from using the “Chat” feature for side conversations. Reserve it only for technical issues requiring alternate communication.
Do not use the “Capture” function (or take photos/screenshots) during the session to preserve confidentiality.
Commitment to Presence
Arrive a few minutes early to settle in and ensure the group begins on time. There is no capacity for late entries.
Be fully present for the duration of the session. Avoid multitasking or distractions.
Optional Follow-Up Support
If something feels unresolved or difficult, members are encouraged to seek support from the facilitator or appropriate resources outside of the group.
